Terms of service.
The short version: ABSNcheck reads what nursing schools publish and lines it up against your courses, so you can see where you stand in minutes instead of days. It is a guide built from public pages, not a promise from any school. Using the site means you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

What ABSNcheck is, and is not
ABSNcheck is an independent information service: a directory of accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) programs and a checker that applies each program's published admission requirements to the courses, grades, dates, and scores you enter. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any school, and no school has approved our summary of its requirements. The How it works page explains how the site works and answers common questions.
- Results are not admission decisions. "Eligible on published minimums" means your entries meet the minimums a school has published, nothing more. Schools weigh things we cannot see and can change any requirement at any time.
- Nothing here is advice from a school, an advisor, or a lawyer. The program itself is the only authoritative source for its requirements. Confirm with the school before you apply, enroll in a course, or spend money on the strength of something you saw here.
- The data can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. It is gathered largely by automated reading of school web pages, as described under Our data on the How it works page, and results depend on what you enter. If you spot an error, tell us; confirmed corrections are listed on the changes page.
Your account
You need an account to see results, so that your free checks and any pass can follow you across devices. You sign up with an email address and a password, and confirm the email before first use. You must be at least 18. Keep your password to yourself; what happens through your account is your responsibility, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
One person, one account. Making extra accounts to get around the free limit is not allowed, and we may close accounts that do. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; that removes your entries and ends any pass without refund.
The free check
Every account can run the full check against three programs, free, for as long as the account exists. A program counts the first time results are shown for it. You can re-run those three as often as you like after changing your courses, but you cannot swap one out for a different program. Checking more programs needs a pass. We may change the free allowance for new accounts in future; programs you have already claimed stay yours.
Passes
A pass is a one-time, prepaid purchase that unlocks the check across every program we track for a fixed term, six or twelve months from the day you buy it. It never renews by itself and we never store your card: payment is handled by Stripe under its own terms. When a pass ends, your account goes back to the free check with your three claimed programs, and nothing you entered is deleted.
A pass is for one person. It cannot be shared, transferred, or resold, and we may end a pass that is being used by more than one person. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases; a change never affects a pass you already hold. If we offer a discount for answering optional questions at checkout, it applies once, to that purchase, and depends on the answers meeting the basic checks described on the form.
A pass buys access to the checker and its features for the term. It does not buy a result, an admission, or a guarantee that a school's requirements will stay as shown.
Refunds and cancellations
A pass gives you the whole service the moment you buy it, so purchases are final and there is nothing to cancel: a pass simply expires. If something has gone wrong, for example you bought by mistake, were charged twice, or the service did not work for you, contact us soon after buying and we will look at it case by case. Where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund, we honor it. Any refund goes back to the original payment method.
If a school closes a program or changes its requirements, that is the school's decision, not a fault in the service, and does not by itself entitle you to a refund. If we ever retire a feature you bought a pass for, we will tell pass holders and treat them fairly.
Transcript uploads
Pass holders can upload transcripts and have the courses, grades, and terms read off them automatically. The reading is done by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude, through its API) and can make mistakes, which is why every row is shown to you for review and nothing is added to your account until you accept it. You are responsible for checking the rows before you rely on them.
Upload only your own transcripts, or ones you have the right to use. We do not keep the file: it is sent to the reader, the rows come back, and the file is discarded. The reader is instructed to leave out your name, student number, and date of birth. Uploads are limited per account to keep the service affordable; the limits are shown on the upload form.
What you enter, and what we do with it
The courses, grades, scores, and program choices you enter are yours. We use them to compute your results and, when you are signed in, to store them for you. We do not sell them and we do not show them to schools. If you choose to tell us which courses a program accepted or how an application turned out, we may publish that only as anonymous statistics combined with other people's reports, and only once there are enough reports that no one can be identified. If you send us a correction or a suggestion, you let us use it to improve the site without owing you anything for it. The privacy policy has the full picture, including how to delete everything.
Money, schools, and independence
Checker results, program order, and eligibility labels are never influenced by payment from a school or anyone else. Schools cannot pay to look better. If we ever suggest a course provider or a test-prep product, the link may be an affiliate link that pays us a commission at no extra cost to you; such links are labeled, and they never change a result.
What you can and cannot do here
You can use the site for your own application planning, and share what you learn. Please do not:
- copy our database or scrape the site, by hand or with software, or use our pages to train or feed another product;
- resell, share, or lend access, or run checks for other people as a service;
- probe, overload, or interfere with the site, bypass its limits, or try to get past the sign-in, the free limit, or the upload allowances;
- enter information about another person without their permission, or upload documents you have no right to use;
- use the site to harass, mislead, or impersonate anyone, including school staff.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may refuse service to anyone. Misuse forfeits any remaining pass term.
What is ours and what is the schools'
A school's requirements are the school's own published information, and the quotes we show come from its pages; nothing here changes that, and the links go to the source. Our compilation, the way we encode and check rules, our wording, our software, and the ABSNcheck name and mark belong to us. You may not reuse them beyond ordinary personal use without our written permission.
School names and the small marks shown beside them are the schools' own trademarks, used only to identify the school a program belongs to. They do not mean a school endorses us or works with us. If you represent a school and would rather we did not show its mark, tell us through the contact page and we will take it down.
Links to schools and other third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they say or do.
Changes, outages, and ending the service
We work to keep the site up and current, but it will sometimes be down, slow, or behind on a change a school made. We may change, pause, or retire any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms; the date at the top tells you when, and continued use after a change means you accept it. If a change materially reduces what a pass gives you, we email pass holders first.
What we can promise, and what we cannot
We promise to tell you where every value came from, to say so when we do not know, and to fix confirmed errors quickly. We cannot promise that the data is complete, current, or free of mistakes, that the site will always be available, or that any school will admit you. The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, ABSNcheck and the people who build and run it are not liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on it: a missed deadline, a declined application, a course you took that turned out not to be needed, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Where the law does not let us exclude liability, our total liability to you for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you live somewhere that gives you rights we cannot ask you to waive, those rights stand.
In plain words: use the site to save time and get pointed in the right direction, and confirm with the school before you act. If you do that, the site has done its job.
If something goes wrong between us
Talk to us first. Most problems are a wrong value, a mistaken charge, or a misunderstanding, and we would rather fix them than argue. If we cannot sort it out together within 30 days of you raising it, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
