Accelerated Second Degree BSN (ABSN) · Mequon, WI · school's own site (opens the school's website in a new tab)
We could not confirm that this program is still enrolling. The program's own URL (cuw.edu/academics/programs/second-degree-accelerated-bsn/) now 301-redirects to the general academics index, the academics catalog lists a Traditional BSN, an RN-to-BSN completion and a 'Nursing: Direct Entry for Non-Nurses' (MSN) but no accelerated or second-degree BSN, the flyer's CUW.EDU/BSNACC short link lands on a site-search page, and the onlineinfo.cuw.edu ABSN detail page 404s. Counter-evidence: an undated onlineinfo.cuw.edu marketing page still advertises a '2nd Degree Accelerated ABSN', and a faculty title 'Coordinator - Accelerated BSN Program' remains on the Direct Entry MSN page. No CUW page announces a closure, pause or conversion. The requirements below come from a 2024-2025 state-hosted flyer and may no longer apply; confirm with CUW before relying on them.

Where the school's pages disagree
We show the program's own page as the value and keep the other page as a note. Where two pages of equal standing disagree, we show both and mark the value Confirm.
- Program length: The 2024-2025 flyer says 15 months: "During this 15-month program students progress through as part of a cohort."
- Format: The 2024-2025 flyer describes a blended/hybrid delivery: online coursework, hands-on labs on the Mequon campus and clinicals in southeast Wisconsin; international students are not eligible for 'this hybrid program'.
- Minimum grades: The School of Nursing admissions page, addressed to pre-nursing students, says "> C in each" science course (BIO 149 Microbiology, BIO 191/192 A&P 1 and 2, CHEM 105 General & Biological Chemistry, each with a lab section).

Every page we read for Concordia Wisconsin, with when we last checked it. Tier 1 is the program's own pages; tier 2 the nursing school's general pages; tier 3 university-wide pages.
- ABSN program page (redirects to the academics index)tier 1 · program page · checked Oct 9, 2026Found via a cuw.edu-restricted web search; 301-redirects to the general academics index, which lists no accelerated or second-degree BSN. The .../index.html variant redirects the same way.
- Accelerated Second Degree BSN flyer (CUW-branded, 2024-2025, hosted by Wisconsin DWD ETPL)tier 3 · pdf · checked Oct 9, 2026State-government Eligible Training Provider List flyer, CUW-branded and dated 2024-2025. The only document with ABSN-specific requirements, deadlines and application steps; it is a year old and hosted off cuw.edu, so tier 3. Its CUW.EDU/BSNACC short link now resolves to a site-search page.
- Nursing marketing landing page (undated)tier 2 · other · checked Oct 9, 2026Undated marketing page that still advertises a '2nd Degree Accelerated ABSN' as a 14-month on-campus program; its ABSN detail link 404s.
- School of Nursing admissions (pre-nursing students)tier 2 · how to apply · checked Oct 9, 2026Addressed to pre-nursing students, not ABSN-specific. Source of the science GPA, 5-year science recency, one-repeat and AP/CLEP math statements; whether these apply to the ABSN is unknown. Its Apply button goes to CUW's own portal.
- Flyer short link CUW.EDU/BSNACC (now a search page)tier 1 · other · checked Oct 9, 2026Redirects to a site-search page for 'bsnacc'.
- ABSN detail page linked from the marketing page (404)tier 2 · program page · checked Oct 9, 2026 · HTTP 404
- Direct Entry MSN program pagetier 3 · other · checked Oct 9, 2026Checked only for a statement that the ABSN was replaced; none found. Its faculty listing still includes the title 'Coordinator - Accelerated BSN Program, Associate Professor'.
- Is the ABSN still enrolling? The program page redirects to the academics index and the catalog lists no accelerated BSN; only a Direct Entry MSN for non-nurses, a Traditional BSN and an RN-to-BSN appear. No closure or conversion notice was found.
- Program length: 14 months (undated marketing page) vs 15 months (2024-2025 state-hosted flyer).
- Science grade minimum: B (flyer) vs C (School of Nursing pre-nursing page). We used the flyer's B because it is the only ABSN-specific source, even though the School of Nursing page is a higher tier.
- Format: 'on-campus' (marketing page) vs 'blended delivery'/'hybrid' (flyer).
- Only one deadline (November 1 for a spring cohort, no year) is published, and only on the 2024-2025 flyer; current cycle dates are unknown.
- Tuition, entrance exam, partial-completion rules, pass/fail and online-lab policy are not published on any fetched CUW page.
- The 5-year science recency, one-repeat rule, science GPA and AP/CLEP math waiver come from the pre-nursing page; whether they apply to the ABSN is unknown.
- Concordia University Wisconsin is not in the AACN roster, so there is no directory stub to supersede.

ABSNcheck summarizes requirements that schools publish on their own websites, with a link to each source and the date we last verified it. Schools change requirements, sometimes contradict themselves, and make individual decisions. Results show whether you meet published minimums; they are not an admission decision or a guarantee, and are not official advice from any school. Always confirm requirements with each program before you apply or enroll in a course.
